FAQs

  • Residents must be 18 years or older, experiencing homelessness, be willing and able to work toward stability and self-sufficiency, and agree to abide by our community rules, including maintaining sobriety and engaging in case management.

  • At Vista Village, we recognize that the road to recovery and healing is not a linear one. We believe people need safe, stable housing before any of their other needs can be addressed. To be eligible for Vista Village, one must be experiencing or at imminent risk of homelessness, and demonstrate a desire and motivation to achieve self-sufficiency. Once living in the Village, residents will be expected to pay rent on time, abide by civil law, and follow the rules of Vista Village itself.

  • Residents typically stay between 18 to 24 months, depending on their progress. We offer flexibility for those actively participating in programming and following their case plan.

  • At this time, the homes are single occupancy only. We will be developing a second phase which will include family housing!

  • In addition to supportive services, residents will have access to the community center which houses a large gathering area for activities and events, laundry facilities, a computer station, a community kitchen, outdoor grills and picnic areas.

Vista Village is more than just a place to live—it is an 18 to 24-month transitional housing program designed to support individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness as they work toward employment, long-term stability, and permanent housing. Our goal is to provide not only housing but also the tools, resources, and guidance needed for a successful transition to independent living. Each home is single occupancy, and Vista Village is a sober-living community (including alcohol and marijuana).

As a resident, you will be expected to:

    • Engage in case management to set and work toward personal goals.

    • Participate in supportive services such as life skills training, financial literacy, and recovery meetings (if applicable), as well as other identified opportunities.

    • Follow program rules and guidelines to maintain a safe, respectful, and sober living environment.

    • Commit to personal growth and stability, including pursuing employment, education, or other self-sufficiency goals.

We welcome individuals who are ready to actively engage in this journey toward stability and growth. Once your application is submitted, it will be added to our queue for careful review.

Please note that we’re currently receiving a high volume of applications, and we process them in the order they are received. Each application is thoroughly reviewed to ensure a good fit. If we still have openings by the time we reach your application, we’ll be sure to follow up with you.
